Before co-founding Real Residential in 2022, Shawn was a co-owner and Luxury Director at NWG Real Estate. He played an instrumental role in the firm's acquisition by Compass in 2018 and became Compass Washington's original launch partner.
Shawn's early pursuit of architecture continues to influence his approach to real estate. His understanding of design, construction, development, and luxury living allows him to look beyond surface-level presentation and help clients evaluate construction quality, architectural significance, development potential, long-term marketability, and the characteristics that create enduring value. He has worked alongside many of the Pacific Northwest's most respected architects, builders, and designers, including Olson Kundig, Dowbuilt, Schultz Miller, Adam Leland Homes, and McCullough Architects.

Shawn lives in Seattle with his wife, Elizabeth, their three children, and two golden retrievers. Outside of real estate, the family enjoys boating in the San Juan Islands, skiing at Crystal Mountain, and spending time together in Palm Springs.
